mnestic is an independently maintained fork of CozoDB. It is not the official CozoDB and is not affiliated with or endorsed by its original authors. All credit for the original design belongs to Ziyang Hu and the Cozo Project Authors.

The engine — MPL-2.0

The mnestic engine, like upstream CozoDB, is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. Every original Copyright … The Cozo Project Authors per-file notice is preserved in the fork.

Much of this documentation is adapted from the CozoDB documentation by Ziyang Hu and the Cozo Project Authors, which is licensed CC-BY-SA-4.0. Under that license's ShareAlike terms, these adapted pages are released under the same license, CC-BY-SA-4.0, with attribution.

Pages adapted from the original documentation carry an attribution note at the foot linking back to the corresponding upstream page. Pages under the mnestic — the fork section (and this page) are original to this project and document fork-specific behavior.

Trademarks & naming

"CozoDB" and "Cozo" refer to the original project. We use them only to describe provenance and inherited behavior. The fork is named mnestic to keep that distinction clear.
